Some hardcore hacking to lower the bed of the Ultimaker 3dprinter

We decided to extract the G-code directly form processing in order to produce only lines instead of volumes, and start testing with some jelly-like substances. Viscosity and density are the parameters we had to study. Before testing agar, we started with potato pure.

Just an octagon to start from, before importing the Gcode for the shapes we would like to generate

After "some" iterations, we finally conclude the experiment for today. Soon to be tested with agar, trying to control the temperature of the medium of course.

Below a sketchy design of the house of the future, as I see it. For the moment it's only PLA. 25x18x5cm. Around 4 hours to print. First attempt with the Ultimaker went beyond expectation. Check it out!
